I had a mixed experience at the Grand Bohemian in Charleston. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city and close to great restaurants and shopping. However, the rooms felt cramped and lacked natural light, which was a downside. The rooftop bar provided a lively atmosphere, though the valet service could definitely use improvement.

The room decor was nice, but it felt claustrophobic with a tiny window and limited space. I found the art and pictures in the room a bit unsettling instead of calming. Also, the shower had a funky smell, which was disappointing.

The staff, particularly at the front desk, were friendly and helpful. However, the valet service was a letdown. Even after tipping, the valet staff didn’t offer assistance with our bags, which was frustrating given the limited valet area.

I had an very nice stay at the Grand Bohemian Charleston! From the warm and friendly service to the stunning rooftop bar with amazing cocktails, everything was great. However, while my room was beautifully decorated, I did notice that the coffee maker didn't work well, which was a slight disappointment.
